Quick online survey FAQs

How much can I earn?

It’s quite easy to make a £200-300 a year doing paid online surveys. If you really go for it, you can make two or three times that amount. It’s entirely up to you and depends on how much time and effort you’re prepared to put in. Just don’t get burn-out – doing surveys for hours and hours, day after day, can get a little tedious! They’re supposed to be a fun and interesting way to earn extra cash, not make you lose the will to live.

What will I be asked about?

Almost anything! Here’s just a few of the subjects I’ve been asked about in recent surveys:
  • Banking and insurance companies and what I think about their products
  • Short term loans
  • The car I drive and what I’m likely to go for next
  • My opinion about new TV or radio adverts, new products and new brand ideas (these surveys can be quite cool as you get to see stuff before it goes public)
  • Politics, news and current affairs
  • TV, broadband and phone services
  • Gaming
  • Phone and internet usage
  • Food, cooking and eating-out habits
  • Home, DIY, Gardening etc

How do I get paid?

Most sites here pay in cash, via PayPal or bank transfer. Some only pay in vouchers – you can usually get Amazon or iTunes/Google Play vouchers. Some allow you to use your points to get products or deals through their sites.

Should I keep a record of completed surveys?

This is recommended, but not essential. It is a good idea to record the names and ID numbers of surveys and to take a screenshot of the completion confirmation page, so you can contact the survey site if for any reason your points don’t get allocated.

What if my account is closed or suspended?

If you’ve not been lying on your surveys (see the top 10 rules) then there’s usually no reason for your account to be closed or suspended, but it can happen. Contact the survey site for an explanation and to ask for your account to be reinstated. If you don’t get a satisfactory response, complain on their Facebook page or on Twitter – this will usually elicit a swifter response!
